What you will really be doing

  • Responsibility over the General Ledger of Luxembourg based entities, integrity of  financial records
  • Lead Monthly and/or Quarterly General Ledger closing process
  • Monthly and/or Quarterly Audit file preparation for the entities in their area of responsibility, preparation of management accounts
  • Timely production of statutory financial statements and other returns
  • Participation in development of accounting processes and internal controls, documentation of policies, procedures and workflows for assigned areas of responsibility
  • Monitoring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and other statutory requirements
  • Preparing VAT returns and other taxation calculations together with Tax Counsel
  • Liaison with external auditors, Tax advisors, authorities and other regulatory bodies
  • Participation in various ad-hoc projects
  • Mentoring team members with regards to more complex accounting transactions
  • Supporting the company’s mission, vision values and goals in the performance of daily activities


  • 5-7 years of experience as a qualified Accountant in a multinational company or as an External Auditor
  • Ability to work on conflicting priorities, be proactive and self-motivated
  • Flexible and open-minded
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty
  • Fluent in English, any other languages are an asset
  • Excellent computer skills and solid understanding of accounting software principles
  • Good attention to detail, self-starter
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • IFRS knowledge will be a plus
