This position reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in Luxembourg and is responsible for the management and coordination of the team in Budapest. This is a crucial role not just within the Development Team, but within the wider business and therefore you require excellent communication and management skills. Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Reviewing business specifications and offering feedback from a technical perspective
  • Managing developers and their tasks in the team
  • Creating technical roadmaps for the product
  • Defining which technologies to use when developing the product
  • Defining the technical requirements, guidelines, and practices of the product
  • Monitoring and evaluating the performance of both lead developers and developers

  • Mentoring and offering feedback to both lead developers and developers
  • Sharing information between the development teams
  • Keep contact with partners from a technical perspective
  • Defining, maintaining and continuously updating the development cycles and processes

  • Defining, maintaining and continuously updating the technical rules, guidelines, practices, and processes
  • Continuously improving the product
  • Defining the professional requirements for the lead developers, current developers, and any recruitment candidates
  • Perform technical plan reviews and code reviews
  • Make product level technical decisions


Work and educational experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in software development and delivery of high availability and traffic services
  • 1+ years experience of software technical management
  • Experience with Affiliate systems
  • Experience with B2B platforms, Traffic networks

  • Strong people management skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to analyse various inputs to help prioritize work
  • Strong communication skills in English, being able to collaborate with remote teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively to different levels of the organizational roles
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, time-compressed and dynamic environment
  • Understands the benefits of the various programming languages
  • Significant knowledge of client/server and internet systems architectures
  • Long life-cycle application development (evolution of applications)
  • Strong analytical approach
  • Interested in affiliate programs, online advertising

Tech skills

  • Understanding software design, OOP principles (Design patterns, SOLID, DRY, Yagni)
  • Understanding architectural patterns, event based architectures
  • Experience with backend technologies, such as: PHP, Node.JS, MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB, Memcache, Redis, RabbitMQ, FMS, other distributed systems
  • Experience with frontend technologies, such as: HTML5, CSS3, ReactJS, SPA development, WebSocket
  • Experience with responsive design, multi-platform technologies (PC/mobile/table/TV)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Working with high-availability, high-performance, scalable systems
  • Experience with high traffic systems, multi DC, distributed systems
  • Familiar with Coalition for Better Ads
  • Familiar with AdBlocking solutions
  • Understands B2B ad serving templates like VAST, VPAID and RTB
  • Understands affiliate revenue types like PPS, RevShare
  • Understands ad serving pricing methods like CPM, CPC, CPA, etc.


  • Modular ADR and MVC system development
  • OOP principles (Design patterns, SOLID, DRY, Yagni)
  • Clean code, covered by unit, integration and UI tests (including TDD)
  • Design, develop and test software
  • Development methodology
  • Agile development process in Scrum
  • Continuous Integration and Deployment Systems for daily based deployments, Git and GitHub Workflow
  • Contribute to OpenSource projects
